Tattered Lace Lavish Bloom Giveaway

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

It is my hubby's birthday today, so we will be off out shortly, not sure where we are going but I know a garden centre will factor into the equation at some point as hubby is a keen gardener.

As you all know I was lucky enough to be asked to be on the Design Team for the New Challenge blog for Tattered Lace.  They have kindly given me a set of the Lavish Bloom dies to one lucky follower.

Today's card is an inspiration piece for the first challenge over at Tattered Lace

Recipe

1. Centre Stepper cream card which I have wrapped gold ribbon around the bottoms and made a double bow.
2. The topper which has been made by cutting down one of the sheets from Blooming Splendour Paper Pack and decoupaging the bird, I matted and layered onto gold card and placed at a jaunty angle.
3. I made 3 flowers using the Lily die from the Lavish Blooms and gold pearlescent card for the centres, I used the skeleton part of the leaf using green pearlescent card.
4. I cut out the Hidden Sweetheart edge and cut in half then inked using Dew Drops Brilliance blue.
5. To finish off I have added the little memo which is matted and layered onto gold card then wrote Happy Easter in Gold pen.

Laura Flower Girl

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well all back to normal after the bank holiday weekend.  Rick has returned to work and has had to use my car as his is still in the garage.  Lots of DT work to get done before the weekend, I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Today's card is made using an Elisabeth Bell image called Laura Flower Girl this time a stamp I bought from Elphine House quite a couple of years now.  She is definitely one of my firm favourites.

Recipe

1. A5 white landscape card which I have turned to make a portrait card.
2. First layer is pearlescent yellow card with the corners punched
3. The pink card has been die cut with Spellbinder Timeless Rectangle die, I then cut out yellow pearlescent card using Spellbinder curved Rectangle die.
4. I stamped the image onto Supersmooth card and coloured with Spectrum Noir pens then cut out with curved Rectangle die.
5. I decorated the top of the card with ribbon and pearls arranged in an arch, the white butterfly is made using paper clay and Martha Stewart mould.
6. To finish off I added a sentiment and small blossom flowers from Sweet Lilac with pearls added to the centres.

A little on the Dark Side

Good Evening Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

I hope you have all had a lovely Easter break.  We had no internet connection this morning for a couple of hours which put me behind on my admin!  I wasn't impressed I can tell you.  Virgin Media had a message saying it would be back about 1.30 pm, luckily it returned earlier.  I can't believe how lost I felt not being able to connect to the internet.

Tonight's card I made for our One Word Wonder over on Mad Crafters Giggle Facebook Group.  My lovely friend Lisa won yesterday's challenge and her word for today was "Dark", now this was well and truly out of my comfort zone but this is what I made.  What do you think?  Lisa makes the most fabulous "dark" cards, why not hop on over and visit and see for yourself.

Recipe

1. A4 gold pearlescent card scored to create A5 landscape card.
2. First layer is copper pearlescent card which I have added velvet ribbon and lace across the middle before matting and layering onto the base card.
3. The Topper is from Lelli-Bot Crafts Fantasy Fairies Kit which I have matted and layered onto black and dark green card then matted and layered at a jaunty angle.
4. Using black lace I made 3 flowers and added wooden beads to the centres.
5. To finish off I added a stick pin which I made a while ago and heart with wings charm.

Good Morning Crafty Friends, Followers and Visitors

Well yesterday was such a disappointment weatherwise it was dull and so chilly!  I had a lovely day though colouring some images and getting used to the Spectrum Noirs, the new generation.  I must say that after the first ones these are so much better and I love the shape of them too.

I coloured in this image by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff called Poppies, a treat to myself!

Recipe

1. 7 x 7 square cream card.
2. First layer is printed poppies from MCS Paper Craft Library Flowers Disc which I have wrapped lace around before matting and layering onto the base card.
3 I cut out gold pearlescent card using Spellbinder's Labels 11 Die
4. Printed the image onto Neenah Card and coloured with my Spectrum Noirs, I then cut out with Labels 11 and distressed the edges with Dew Drops Brilliance Gold ink.
5 To finish off I added a sentiment, a double gold ribbon bow. The butterfly was made using Martha Stewart mould and coloured with Dew Drops Brilliance Red Ink.
