I would like to thank Dina and all the DT girls for a fabulous 6 months and to see how Digi Doodle Studios has grown and I am sure will grow even more in 2018.

Life is the flower...

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

A busy morning here cleaning and washing as tomorrow my very good friend Lesley is coming for lunch.

This weekend I plan to do an inventory of all my mixed media products I have such as canvas', MDF, boxes etc to start and make plans for next years videos.  This should keep me out of mischief on Sunday.

Today's card is made using IndigoBlu Wild Poppy stamp set with my Hexagonal stencil which you can find on my website Linda Simpson Designs.

Step by Step

1. 6 x 6 scalloped edge white base card.
2. Using the Hexagonal stencil I used DI cracked pistachio through the stencil.
3. On separate card I stamped the flower 5 times with Versafine and embossed.
4. I then water coloured using Zig Clean Colour brush pens, then cut out and arranged over the base card.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment from Victorian Garden stamp set with Archival ink.

Because I care

Good Morning Crafty Friends,

Today is a crafting day.

I am going to be revisiting old techniques I haven't done for a while for backgrounds.
No doubt I will end up with very inky mitts!

Today a card using one of my favourite stamps the Crackling Rose from Chocolate Baroque.

Step by Step

1. 5 x 7 white base card.
2. Matted and layered black card.
3. To create the background I used Distress oxides in picked raspberry, abandoned coral and fossilised amber I then used one of the stamps from the Harlequin Fragments stamp set and stamped around the background using Versafine.  To finish off the edges I distressed with DI fossilised amber then matted and layered onto the base card.
4. I stamped the rose and watercoloured with Distress Oxides, fussy cut around then distressed the edges with fossilised amber adhered to base card with foam pads for dimension.
5. To finish off I stamped the sentiment from the Pretty Poppies stamp set with Archival ink.
